MailRoom - Delivery Management

Verkada Mailroom streamlines mail and package deliveries with a simple app to scan packages, notify recipients, and manage deliveries. 

The MailRoom license is included with the Verkada Guest license. All you need is an iOS device to scan the mail or packages application.

  • Who can have access to Guest and Delivery Management?  Principal, business managers, dean of students, front office staff (Attendance clerk, SR&RS, secretaries), and other staff will have access as Site Viewer at the principal's request through a Help Desk ticket.
     

  • What to do if the guest was denied access to the school? The staff member will ask to see the guest's ID, then compare the body traits, check the middle name, picture, and see if it is a match. If not a match, the staff can click on Allow the Entry or Deny the Entry. For the safety of the front office, a text message (or email) will be sent to the Dean of Student Culture and the Principal as soon as a guest is denied entry. For guidelines, click here

  • I can't see the picture of a denied guest to see if it was a match. Clear the cookies on the Verkada Browser. For instructions, click here

  • Why are authorized emergency contacts not able to pick up students? At this time, only guardians authorized to pick up students will appear in Verkada when a student is checked out early. We are working to explore options that would allow authorized contacts to appear as well.​

  • How to transfer students' check-in and early check-out to Skyward? It can't be done. Verkada is replacing the binder that parents use to sign in or sign out their children. 

​​

  • How to speed up the signing process during events or busy times? Verkada offers an option to print a QR code that can be displayed in the lobby. Visitors can scan this QR code with their own devices to sign in. This feature is particularly useful for those who prefer not to touch the screen for hygienic reasons.   • Not all staff are showing as a host on my campus. Case Managers' locations are the district office, not the campus, and their names will not appear as a host. In this situation, use the dean of academics or the SPED teacher as a host.

  • The denied guest's picture is not showing on the guest page for match verification or comparison. Clear the cookies on the Verkada browser. Click for instructions
