Microsoft Stream

Harmony will be using Microsoft Stream which is an Enterprise Video service where educators in our organization can screencast, upload, view, and share videos securely. Users can share recordings of classes, meetings, presentations, training sessions, or tutorials.

All Harmony Employees have access to MS. Stream via a browser at www.web.microsoftstream.com/ or within MS Teams by clicking on the three dots at the left pane and selecting Stream.

  • Can I share videos with a specific person or my organization? Yes. You can share videos within Harmony. Learn more about setting permissions.
     

  • What is the maximum time for recording a video? 15 minutes.
     

  • How can I edit my video? You can edit using Screencast-O-Matic. Click here to learn more about it.

  • Will Microsoft Stream work on mobile devices? Microsoft Stream is available on mobile web browsers with full functionality across iOS and Android. In addition, there are Microsoft Stream iOS and Android apps you can download.

  • Can closed captions automatically be generated for uploaded videos? Yes. Microsoft Stream currently will automatically generate a closed caption for an uploaded video if the video has the language fieldset and the language spoken in the video is either English or Spanish.   • Can people outside of Harmony watch my videos? Currently, all videos and events streamed through Microsoft Stream are only available internally to viewers within our HPS network.
